Query: Wants more information about Winfrey family Stephanie Winfrey Mason writes: In doing research on my family (Winfrey), I found a reference to an article in a Columbia, KY, newspaper that said the Winfrey family was one of the earliest Kentucky families. I found your website and the article on the cemetery tour that included Fanny Winfrey. I know that the Winfrey's were in Kentucky in the early 1800s before moving into Arkansas in the 1830s. Do you have any info on the Winfrey's that you could refer me to. I was happy to see my family was a pioneer Kentucky family. William Winfrey was my ancestor who moved from Kentucky to Arkansas. He was a blacksmith. I am the 6th generation to live in Arkansas. Thank you . - Stephanie Winfrey MasonComments re article 62821 Silent City Cemetery Tour 2013 is Monday October 28 2013 This story was posted on 2014-03-09 03:19:34
