Mary Kathleen Logsdon, Adair Co., KY (1956-2014)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected Adair County, KY, family. She was a member of the Word of Life Church and a homemaker. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Maxine Wright Rogers. Her husband, Joseph Logsdon, survives. She leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Mary Kathleen Logsdon, 58, of Columbia, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at 7:54pmCT, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 3, 2014 at 12pm noon CT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, by Bethlehem Baptist Church, 526 Temperance Road, Greensburg, KY. Visitation will be after 8:30amCT, Monday at the funeral home.

She was born January 26, 1956, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Maxine Wright Rogers. She died Friday, February 28, 2014, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 58 years, 1 month, and 2 days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Rogers.

She was a member of the Word of Life Church and a homemaker. Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Joseph Logsdon of Columbia, KY

  • Four sons: William, husband of Betty Overstreet of Columbia, KY; Jason Overstreet of Campbellsville, Steven, husband of Lydia Overstreet of Bowling Green, KY; and Josh Overstreet of Columbia, KY

  • Three daughters: Joanna, Hannah and, Ruthanna Logsdon all of Columbia, KY

  • Six Grandchildren
