Remembering Louise Nobles: She helped writer find her way

'I feel I am the woman I am today because of this great, wonderful, loving lady.' - Sheila Johnson

Sheila Johnson writes:
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Louise Nobles. The first time I met Louise she was my supervisor at Summit Manor back in the 80s. I was a young woman trying to find myself. I had just moved to Columbia from a large city in Illinois. I knew nothing about hard work, let alone being a nursing assistant. Louise took me under her wing and helped me along the way. We became not just co-workers - but friends. Even after we both left our jobs at the nursing home I knew I could call upon her for advice, and I did often during my "find Sheila journey years." I feel I am the woman I am today because of this great, wonderful, loving lady. Louise, I must truly say I love you and thank you for all you did for me while on this earth. - Sheila Johnson
