Emergency road aid funds awarded to Adair County

For bridge repairs on Frank Dohoney Road. Judge Ann Melton said the Frank Dohoney Road has school bus traffic, serves residents, a large dairy operation and needs to be open at all times in cases of Emergency Medical Service needs. It's the second bridge in six months the county has gotten under the State's County Roads Emergency Fund. A bridge on Avery Rooks Road in Little Cake was opened mid-August 2013, using the fund. Adair County is eligible for the money because the county participates in the KHD's County and Municipal Road Aid Cooperative. - CM
