Griders and Cabbells are descendants of historic Guy family

E H Lepiarczyk writes:
I read with interest the article about the Guy church and the Providence church in Adair County. My uncle's wife, Mrs. Walter Edwin Grider, and my third cousin, Miss Janet Gail Cabbell, are both descendants of the historic Benjamin Hickman Guy family.

Benjamin died ca. 1835. Rebecca A. Guy Reynolds (1827-1900), Benjamin's daughter, is the ancestor of Mrs. Grider and Miss Cabbell. Mrs. Grider and Miss Cabbell are descendants of Rebecca's son, George Green Reynolds (1853-1926), who was the patriarch of a prominent Ozark community family. The Guy Family lineage continues in Adair County today although the name is now extinct among Adair County citizenry. Best Regards, - E. H. Lepiarczyk
