LW Women's Track and Field takes sixth at DePauw Three Blue Raiders - Katie Hartney, Janice Bown, and Nacia Johnson - capture 22 combined team points in the long jump event By Charles Balcom GREENCASTLE, IN - The Lindsey Wilson women's indoor track and field team took home a sixth place finish out of 17 teams at the DePauw Indoor Classic on Saturday, February 22, 2014. The Blue Raiders finished with 67 total team points in the 19 events. Lindsey Wilson shined in the long jump event where three Blue Raiders finished in the top four. Janice Brown came in first place to capture 10 points for Lindsey Wilson after a 5.38 meter jump, breaking the school record by .02 meters. Nacia Johnson took second in the event after she leaped 5.20 meters and earned seven team points. Kimberley Stevens finished fourth with a 5.01 meter jump for five team points. Brown came in second in the triple jump with a 10.79 leap for eight team points. Kerry Ann Walker took home a sixth place finish in the triple jump for three team points. Katie Hartney took third in the shot put with a throw of 11.68 meters for six team points. Hartney also grabbed third place in the weight throw with a distance of 14.44 meters. Both distances broke previous school records in the event. Lindsey Wilson finished second as a team in the 4x200 relay to secure eight points with a time of 1:54.15. The team finished fourth in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:24.30 to secure five points. Bellarmine (KY) won the event with 90 team points, followed by St. Joseph's (IN) with 79.5 and Taylor (IN) with 78.
