Agrees with Kathryn Miller: Doesn't want candidate visits Comments re article 65433 Doesn't want candidates to come to her door By Mary Ann Brown Personal opinion of the writer So very glad I am not the old crazy person. I have thought for years that it was just me but now I see others do not want or appreciate being bothered at home with door to door politicians. Put your views on the radio, TV ads, town political meetings, yard signs, whatever but when I get home from my public job that is what I want to do is have peace and quiet, I want to rest, enjoy my dinner meal, watch some TV, spend time talking to my husband, playing on the computer, laundry or whatever needs to be done besides running to the door accepting a 3-5 minute conversation and a card. I for one would vote in a New York minute that this practice be stopped all together! Most of the people running for office have made their intentions known years before they decide to run for offices. People know the person long before they run for offices and usually that is what gets one elected or not elected. right? Just my opinion! --Mary Ann Brown This story was posted on 2014-02-20 06:57:56
