Iva Sharp, Adair County, KY (1941-2014)

Iva was a member of Trinity United Methodist and house wife. She was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY, family, the daugher of the late Rev. Frank Dallas & Minnie Marshall Furkin. She was born in Adair County and was a a resident of Fairplay, Adair County, at the time of her death. Her husband, Charles Sharp, survives. She leaves 10 direct living descendants

Iva Sharp age 73 years of Fairplay Road Columbia, Ky. passed away Tuesday February 18, 2014 at 10:52amCT, at her home.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William R. Davenport & Rev. Steve Pescosolido the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Friday, February 21, 2014, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Charles Sharp, Stephen Furkin, Bob Clutterbuck, Joe Chapman, Brad Posey, and Jr. Feese.

Honorary pallbearers: Norman Furkin, Bruce Loy, Fred Brown, Jr. Furkin, Jr. Gilpin, A. L. Sinclair, Steve McKinney and Louis McQueary.

She was born on January 24, 1941 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank Dallas & Minnie Marshall Furkin. She died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Fairplay, Adair County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 25 days.

She is survived by her husband Charles Sharp of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Daughter: Donna Krick of Palos Park, IL

  • Son: David (Laura) Sharp of Burbank , IL

  • Four grandchildren: April Wiemer, Dana Gluszek, Amanda Sharp, and Jessica Sharp

  • Four great grandchilden

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
Iva was a member of Trinity United Methodist and house wife.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Gideon Bibles.
