By Donald Hare, Public Information Officer
Adair County Fire Department

The Adair County Fire Department responded to two separate grass fires on Monday afternoon, February 17, 2014:
4617 Campbellsville, property owned by Donnie Curry
The first one at 2:06pmCT, at 4617 Campbellsville Road, to property owned by Donnie Curry, to a grass and trash fire with about two acres of land damaged. There were 13 firemen on the scene for around 45 minutes.

No fire found at Rose Lane and East 80
The second fire occurred at 3:30pmCT on Monday to intersection of Rose Lane and East 80, when units arrived and searched area no fire found.
We would like to urge everyone, Even as wet as the grass is right now, that it is extremely dangerous to attempt to burn anything outside during these high wind days, a small fire can get out of control immediately.
