A heartfelt thank you from Ann Melton

We have always known our emergency responders are dedicated, hardworking, and brave men and women. But early Thursday morning, in the Knifley community, we experienced this first hand. These brave, heroic, strong, selfless emergency responders from Adair and surrounding counties responded to the call of duty as a result of a gas pipeline explosion.

I want to thank all the local, state, and federal emergency responders who turned immediately to action as the events unfolded quickly when the totality of the danger was still unclear to them.

I am proud of and grateful to all of these crucial members of our community and our emergency personnel friends who responded across county lines to help us. Your courage and compassion are inspiring and I am grateful to live where people like you commit your lives to protecting and serving your fellow neighbors.

God bless you one and all.

Sincerely,
ANN MELTON
