Use extra caution in 1200 Block, Greensburg ST, this morning Superintendent Reed & Transportation Director David Jones report: CAUD Water Main Break on Greensburg Street on way to or by the Adair County School Campus creates potential for black ice or hydroplaning. Superintendent Alan W. Reed called at 5:11amCT to send precautionary message to parents and students on a potentially hazardous situation on Greensburg Street, in the area from Indian Drive to the Board of Education Building, where a major waterline break occurred overnight. "We're expecting utililty flaggers and law enforcement to be on the scene when school traffic is heaviest, but with temperature still hovering at or below freezing, this could be a hazard for someone not expecting it," he said, "students - younger drivers."
