Wonders why fire department chili suppers on same day Frances Salyers writes: I was just noticing on March 1, 2014, that we have two auctions and chili suppers at the same time, one at Knifley and one at Adair County Fire Department. Do these groups realize this, or could it just not be helped. It's hard to support both if at the same time. Frances SalyersOf course a valid point. There is always a lot going on in Adair County, so maybe it just couldn't be helped. By now, we hope that everyone is using, among other things, the CM Calendar of Events before announcing an event, to check for possible conflicts. It could make a huge difference this year, especially since it's an election year. - EW This story was posted on 2014-02-12 07:38:13
