Det. Jamie Richard investigating Cumberland fire death

Sixty-five year old man, who lived alone, found dead after blaze extinguished at his home on Little Renox Road in Cumberland County. Investigation continues. KSP says no foul play is expected

BURKESVILLE, KY - The Kentucky State Police are investigating a fire that occurred today at approximately 6amCT at a residence on Little Renox Road in Cumberland County. 65-year-old Wendell Wolfe was found dead in the residence after local fire fighters extinguished the blaze.

The residence was a complete loss. Wolfe lived at the residence alone and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The preliminary autopsy report indicates that Wolfe died of smoke inhalation. The case is being investigated by KSP Detective Jamie Richard and KSP Arson Investigator Alex Wesley. No foul play is expected.
