Lorene Roy Chapman passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Liberty Care Center. She was 96.

Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro Sherman Floyd officiating. Burial is in Thomas Ridge Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the funeral home.



Lorene Roy Chapman, Casey County, KY (1917-2014)

Born Monday, December 3, 1917 in Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Bessie Coffey Miller.

She was a homemaker and member of the Thomas Ridge Christian Church.

Lorene was preceded in death by husbands, Columbus Roy, and Roscoe Chapman and sons, Lester "Doodler" Roy, Junior Roy, Kellie Ray Roy, and Bobby Roy.

Survivors include:
  • Sons: Ronald Gene (and Louise) Roy of Dunnville, KY; and Jackie (and Edith) Roy of Dunnville, KY

  • Daughters: Opal Roy of Dunnville, KY; Josephine (and Lloyd) Wilson of Liberty, KY; Louise (and Don) Thomas of Liberty, KY; and Brenda and (Earl) Wilson of Liberty, KY

  • Brothers: Bobby Coffey of Somerset, KY; Reuben Miller of Indiana and Newell Miller of Ohio

  • Four sisters, Rose Oldham of Ohio, Marie Coleman of Louisville, KY; Ruth Butler of Indiana and Nellie Coleman of Liberty, KY

  • Twenty nine grandchildren

  • Thirty-nine great-grandchildren

  • Nineteen great-great-grandchildren

  • and two great-great-great-grandchildren
