He was a member of Mt. Pisgah (Bow School House) United Baptist Church of Christ, a retired mail carrier and a lifelong farmer.

Mr. Randolph Watson "Randy" Rush, age 65, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his residence in the Modoc Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Randolph Watson "Randy" Rush will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. Stanley Holman officiating. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT on Saturday, February 1, 2014 until the funeral hour on Sunday.



Mr. Randolph Watson (Randy) Rush, Burkesville, KY (1948-2014)

He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Wednesday, August 18, 1948, the son of Leslie and Pansy Watson Rush. He died Thursday, January 30, 2014, in Modoc, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 5 months, and 12 days.

He was a member of Mt. Pisgah (Bow School House) United Baptist Church of Christ, a retired mail carrier and a lifelong farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Herman Rush, Lloyd Rush and Royster Rush.

He is survived by the following:
  • His son: William "Bill" Rush of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • His daughter: Jennifer (and Jason) Maples of Lancaster, Kentucky

  • His brother: Hall (and Cathie) Rush of Indianapolis, Indiana

  • His sisters: Jewell Riley of Burkesville, Kentucky, Joann Groce and her companion, Mack Wells of Indianapolis, Indiana

  • And his grandchildren, Andrew Robbins, J.J. Puckett, John Rush and Logan Rush
