Robert Lee (Bob) Kreilein, Taylor Co., KY (1943-2014)

He was a native of Jasper, IN, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. His wife over 24 years, Gloria Antle Kreilein, survives. He leaves 12 direct living descendants. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the ElkHorn United Methodist Church. He was a retired employee of Kimball International and plant manager of Greensburg Manufacturing for twenty-nine years. He was an All-Star Basketball player for the Jasper, Indiana Wildcats, played at Ole Miss and was an avid golfer. He served his country honorably with the Indiana National Guard.

Robert Lee "Bob" Kreilein, 70, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 10amET, Wednesday, January 29, 2014, in Campbellsville.

The funeral service willl be at 10amCT/11amET, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Ron Dooley and Bro. Darrell Lyons. Burial will be in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, January 31, 2014, at the funeral home.



Robert Lee "Bob" Kreilein, Taylor County, KY (1943-2014)


Robert Lee "Bob" Kreilein of Campbellsville, KY was the son of the late Hilbert Kreilein and Clara Merion Buechlein Kreilein. He was was born in Jasper, Dubois County, Indiana, February 2, 1943. He died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 27 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the ElkHorn United Methodist Church. He was a retired employee of Kimball International and plant manager of Greensburg Manufacturing for twenty-nine years.

He was an All-Star Basketball player for the Jasper, Indiana Wildcats, played at Ole Miss and was an avid golfer.

He served his country honorably with the Indiana National Guard.

He united in marriage to Gloria Antle June 24, 1989.

Besides his wife, Gloria Antle Kreilein of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and two sons: Gretchen Kreilein Schmoetzer and husband, Tom of New Albany, Indiana; Myron Kreilein of Louisville, KY; and Brett Kreilein and wife, Francie of Bowling Green, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Logan Schmoetzer, Isaac Schmoetzer, Sarah Kreilein, Cole Kreilein, Mason Kreilein, Lindsey Coffelt, Tyler Stephens, and Blake Stephens

  • One great-granddaughter: MaKinley Coffelt

  • Two brothers: Charles Kreilein and wife, Clara of Jasper, Indiana; and Michael G. Kreilein and wife, Carol of Huntingburg, Indiana

  • Sister-in-law: Janice Kreilein of St. Anthony, Indiana

  • Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J. D. and Denise Antle of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many cousins and other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Max Kreilein.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Elk Horn United Methodist Church Youth Group and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
