Lois Buis, Casey County, KY (1925-2014) Born Sunday, December 13,1925 in Harlan County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Pittman Slagle and Minnie Warren Slagle. She died Sunday, January 26, 2014, in Barbourville, Knox County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 13 days. Originally from Casey County, KY, she was a member of the Hilltop Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle. Lois was a housewife and former library worker at Union College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huel V. Buis, who died April 1, 2000; a son, Ron Cordell; three brothers, Emmett Clayton Slagle, Robert Morris Slagle and Garnet Parker Slagle; and two sisters, Beverly Joan Slagle Kitchen and Ruby Slagle Hampton.
