Traffic Alert: Bluegrass Parkway EB closed in Anderson County

Important to anyone who might be headed for Lexington via Springfield and the Triple Nickle - KY 555 - thence via the Bluegrass Parkway - CM

ELIZABETHTOWN - (7amET, Saturday, January 25, 2014) Eastbound Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson County remains closed due to a multi-vehicle accident involving a KYTC snow operations vehicle. The closure is near Mile Point 52. Anyone traveling toward Lexington from Elizabethtown should use the following:
DETOUR: Take Exit 48 to Highway 555, then take right on Hwy. 62, take Hwy 62 to Hwy 127 and rejoin Bluegrass Parkway east
The closure and related detour is expected to last through midday. An update will be sent with the parkway reopens. The route is subject to heavier traffic today with the University of Kentucky Basketball game scheduled for this afternoon in Lexington.
