Rebecca Watson: Adair County in danger of losing school nurses By Rebecca Watson, School Nurse Personal commentary Schools across the state have lost their school nurses and many schools, including Adair County Schools, are in great danger of losing their school nurses in the next year due to changes in Medicaid's payment methods. We are asking everyone to contact legislators to support your school health program and let them know how important it is to every student's education that each school has a School Nurse. If you want to keep Adair County's School Nurses contact your legislators immediately and let them know how important this matter is to you and your school. Below is the contact information for your legislators in Adair County so please take the time to send them a hand written letter or you can email them or call them to let them know how important the school nurse is in your school system. Adair County Legislators:
The more people who contact their legislators, the louder the voice of concern for school nurses in Adair County will be heard and hopefully the actions needed by your legislators will be taken to ensure that Adair County Schools will continue to have school nurses to care for each and every student. - Rebecca Watson This story was posted on 2014-01-24 11:00:35
