ACSO, KSP investigating armed robbery at Breeding

Suspect avoided video surveillance as he entered the Hwy 61 Country Mart and robbed register of undetermined amount of money. Suspect fired gun in the air as he fled with another suspect, who was waiting on black and blue ATV. Sheriff Harrison Moss asks anyone with information on the crime to please call 270-384-2776

Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss tells us a man who arrived on a 4-wheeler on the property of the Highway 61 Country Mart at Breeding, KY yesterday, entered the store and robbed it of an undetermined amount of money at gunpoint.

The incident occurred at around 3pmCT, Monday, January 20, 2014. The store is in Adair County, very near the Cumberland and Metcalfe County lines.



Adair County Deputy Sheriff Adam Rainwater says the man avoided video ameras as he walked to the counter and demanded money. After cleaning out the register, the man left the store and fired his gun once into the air. A second suspect waited outside and the two fled the scene on a black and blue ATV.

Deputies are looking for a white maile around six feet tall. He was wearing a black Under Armour hoodie, black glasses and blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Adair County Sheriff's office at 270-384-2776. Kentucky State Police are assisting in the investigation.
