Deadline for June 9-14 4-H camp is April 11, 2014 Applications taken at local extension office. By Tony Rose Adair Extension Agent for 4-H and Youth Youth from Adair County can go to camp at Lake Cumberland 4-H Center, at Jabez, 17500 Hwy 196. Nancy, KY. Monday-Friday, June 9-14, 2014 with 4-H club members from Casey, Clinton, Green, Marion and Wayne Counties. The cost is $185.00, which includes transportation, lodging, meals, etc. Applications can be picked up at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service located at 409 Fairground Street in Columbia, KY. There may be a limited number of scholarships available to help with camp registration fee. Applications are due to the County Extension Office not later than April 11, 2014. Campers will take part in an organized program of activities such as swimming, boating, archery, hiking, crafts, outdoor education, folk games, camp fires, group sports, and more. There'll be new friends and you'll learn more about citizenship, leadership, and getting along with others. The first 50 campers signing up will be able to attend. Youth who are in 4th through 7th grades during this school year can attend. Some who are in 8th grade may attend as Teen Leaders by filling out Teen Leader Applications.
