Hazel Cundiff, 89, Russell County, KY (1924-2014)

She was a native of Jamestown, Russell County, KY and a resident of Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Levy Blankenship and Alta (Helm) Blankenship and was the widow of Willard Cundiff. She leaves five direct living descendants. She was a homemaker.

Hazel Cundiff, Hwy 279, Russell Springs, KY, died at 4:15pmCT, Monday, January 6, 2014, at her home.

The funeral service will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT, Thursday, January 9, 2014, with Bro. James Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014, after 5pmCT, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.

She was born January 12, 1924, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Levy Blankenship and Alta (Helm) Blankenship. She died Monday, January 6, 2014, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her son: Larry, husband of Brenda Cundiff, Russell Springs, KY

  • Daughter-in-law: Kathy Cundiff, Russell Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Melissa Cundiff, Kaley Cundiff, Greg and Cody Cundiff
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Cundiff; two sons, Gregory and Darrell Cundiff; two sisters, Hollis Antle, Infant Marie Blankenship; and one brother, James Blankenship.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
