Larry Smith: Weather is even harsher today

Milk is scheduled to be back on shelves in Campbellsville starting at 8amET. And Larry Smith goes on record with PREDICTION: Schools will be closed again on Wednesday, too.

By Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE and FM 99.9 The Big Dawg

With the temperatures dipping below 0 and wind chill factors in the -18 and more, conditions are more dangerous today than yesterday. The commute between Columbia and Campbellsville is doable, but extra care is needed to watch for patches of ice.

I want to go on record to predict that all schools in the area will be closed again tomorrow. You caan call my hand on it tomorrow, if I'm not right, but it is wickedly cold today.

And, city streets and county roads are still icy, today; these temperatures, salt is just not effective.

One ray of hope in our Siberian lives: The milk trucks will be arriving, at least in Campbellsville, this morning at 8amET. I hunted several places last night, and couldn't find a drop of milk for sale. At least we've got that going for us. And Marvin Gaye on The WAVE this morning to make us feel good. Stay warm today, my friends. - LARRY SMITH.
