DUI charge follows Milltown, KY wreck with multiple injuries

Driver of GMC given field sobriety test, arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Woman passenger taken to Westlake, then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital; 19-year old passenger flown from the scene.

The Adair Sheriff's Office responded with Adair EMS to a wreck with multiple injuries Wednesday, January 1, 2014 Jeremy Wile, 35, was operating his 2002 GMC pickup 6 miles down Milltown Road headed towards KY 61 North when he veered off the road on a curve, flipping his vehicle before it came to rest at the bottom of a creek bank.

Wiles's passengers Alice McGuffin, 21, of Green County, KY, and Mike Smith, 19, both sustained injuries as a result of the accident.



McGuffin was taken by EMS to Westlake for treatment while Smith was flown from the scene to UofL. After a field sobriety test Wiles was taken into custody by Deputy Adam Cravens and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence with aggravating circumstance and no insurance.

Wile was lodged in the Adair County Jail. Adair Search and rescue also responded to the scene.
