Mr. Larry Ray Wilson, Taylor County, KY (1962-2014)

He was a member of a large, respected family with many ties in Taylor, Adair, and Green Counties, and elsewhere. His wife, Shelia Cobb Wilson, survives. He leaves 3 direct living descendants. He had been employed as a delivery driver for Sysco Food Service, until an accident left him disabled, Mr. Wilson enjoyed spending time outside, especially when the seasons allowed him to landscape. He answered the call of duty as a young man, and served his country honorably in the Army National Guard. Mr. Wilson had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church.

Mr. Larry Ray Wilson, of Campbellsville, went to rest with his Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY. He was 51 years old.

There will be a memorial service for Mr. Larry Ray Wilson at the South Greensburg Baptist Church, 213 Penick Avenue, Greensburg, KY, at 9amCT/10ET, Saturday, January 4, 2014 with Bro. Robert Adkins officiating. Visitation will be private.



Mr. Larry Ray Wilson, Taylor County, KY (1962-2014)


He was the son of the late Finis Ray and Clarice (Franklin) Wilson. He was born September 17, 1962. He died in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at the age of 51 years, 3 months, and 14 days.

He had been employed as a delivery driver for Sysco Food Service, until an accident left him disabled, Mr. Wilson enjoyed spending time outside, especially when the seasons allowed him to landscape. He answered the call of duty as a young man, and served his country honorably in the Army National Guard. Mr. Wilson had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church.

  • One son: Donald Ray Tucker and wife Lana, of Louisville, KY

  • Four siblings: Terry Wilson and wife Vanda, of Campbellsville, KY; Patty Branham and husband Jimmy, Sandy Hilger, and Susan Webster-Hooten and husband Bruce, all of Columbia, KY

  • His father-in-law and mother-in-law : Wade Cobb and Mona Davis of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister-in-law: Misty Rodriguez of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four brothers-in-law: Nick Cobb and wife Rhonda, of Campbellsville, KY; Steven Cobb and wife Charlette, of Bardstown, KY; David Cobb, and Darryl Cobb, both of Greensburg, KY

  • Two grandchildren

  • And a host of other special friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including Christian Rodriguez of Campbellsville, KY
