ACHS Indians defeat Hart Co. Raiders 66-46 in tournament play

The Adair County Indians advanced to the semi-finals of the T J Sampson Holiday Tournament at Metcalfe County High School with a 66-46 victory over the Hart County Raiders. The Indians improved to 5-3 while Hart County dropped to 1-5.



Matt Fudge scored 8 first period points as the Indians led 19-15. Chance Melton scored 7 second period points as the Indians led 37-25 at halftime. The two teams played evenly in the 3rd period as the Tribe led 50-38 entering the final period. Melton and Fudge combined for all 16 of the Indians 4th period points as they went on a 16-8 run to pull away 66-46.

Fudge and Melton combined to connect on 16 of 23 from the floor and 10 for 10 from the line scoring 25 and 21 to lead Adair. Rounding out the scoring were Ty Bennett 8, Jake Hixson 5, Zach Hutchison 4, Marshall Shelley 2, and Jacob Pooler 1. Melton recorded his 3rd straight double/double with 10 rebounds. Melton handed out 6 assists while Shelley had 5.
