Merry Christmas and Happy New Year - from Englewood, FL Von Price, late of beautiful Joppa, Columbia, and Louisville, KY, is now happily re-located in Florida, where, she says, "That old Arthur has not been hurting as bad" - that was the reason for the move. And, she reports, she's made a new friend, her backyard buddy - a black snake By Von Price Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Holiday Season. I have moved to the Sunshine State and enjoying the wonderful sunny and warm weather. But every morning while having my coffee I always check on what is going on in good old Columbia. I always enjoy reading the ColumbiaMagazine.com on line. Maybe I will have some funny stories to send now and then. One comes to mind that I have this little friend that is in my backyard, a black snake. I have seen it twice. My pest control man was here one day and I was telling him about it. . . his reply was, "You do not want to kill it. It will kill the poisonous snakes that will come Into the yard." He also said they are very territorial. I hope he is correct! In any event, my little black buddy is now my friend. I am sure that he is probably scared of me more than I am of him. . . but I really doubt that! The temperature is in the mid 70's to mid 80's everyday. But I will say that old Arthur has not been hurting as bad. That was the reason for our move. Merry Christmas to all. Von Price Englewood, Florida This story was posted on 2013-12-25 04:20:31
