CU's December commencements to feature 196 graduates

The Rev. Joel Carwile, pastor of Valley View Church in Louisville, will receive an honorary doctorate of divinity in the 2pmCT ceremony, and the Rev. John Chowning, vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to the president, who also pastors Saloma Baptist Church, will receive an honorary doctorate of public service degree at the 4pmCT ceremony

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Campbellsville University will hold two commencement exercises Friday, December 13, 2013, at 1pmCT/2pmET and 3pmCT/4pmET, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N Hoskins Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, when 196 graduates will receive diplomas. The 1pmCT/2pmET commencement ceremony will be for the bachelor of science and bachelor of science in business administration graduate candidates, and the 3pmCT/4pmET ceremony will be for all associate, bachelor of arts, bachelor of music, bachelor of science in nursing, bachelor of social work and all master degree candidates.



In total, there will be 196 graduates graduating between the two commencement ceremonies. The students will receive their diplomas upon completion of all graduation requirements.

Nine people will be graduating with an associate in science degree, 13 will be graduating with an associate of nursing degree, nine people will be graduating with a bachelor of arts degree, and three people will be graduating with a bachelor of music degree.

There will be 70 people graduating with a bachelor of science degree, 16 with a bachelor of social work degree, 13 with a bachelor of science in business administration degree and five with a bachelor of science in nursing degree.

There will be 10 people graduating with a master's of arts in organizational leadership degree, 11 people graduating with a master's of business administration degree, one person will be graduating with a master's of music in church music and four people will be graduating with a master's of music in performance.

There will be eight people graduating with a master's of social work degree, five with a master's of science degree in counseling, there will be 12 people graduating with master's of theology degree, there will be three people graduating with a master of arts in special education degree, two people will be graduating with a teacher leader master of arts in special education degree and two people in master of arts in school improvement.

John Chowning, vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to the president, who also pastors Saloma Baptist Church, will receive an honorary doctorate of public service degree at the 4pmCT ceremony. The Office of Alumni Relations will be hosting a graduation lunch for all December graduates and their friends and families on Friday, December 13, 2013, 11amET-3pmET from in the Winters Dining Hall.
