Adair Fire Department battles two early morning blazes

Home at 1370 Beechtop Road blaze suffers moderate damage. Second fire call was to 101 East 80, to a residential structure which was total loss. Breeding Fire Department members aid effort.

The Adair County Fire Dept responded to two separate house fires during the early morning hours of Thursday morning, December 12, 2013

Fire I: 1370 Beechtop Road
The first fire occurred at 01:28amCT at 1370 Beechtop Road, Columbia, KY. The original call was for a flu fire, upon arrival house was on fire in roof area as well, The home was owned by Robert Fletcher there were 13 firemen on the scene for around three hours and the home received moderate damage.

Fire II: 101 E 80 Drive
While battling the first fire we received a call for a second fire at 101 East 80 Drive, Columbia, KY owner information available (James C. Holladay estate owner - CM, per Larry Smith, 99.9 FM); the call for this fire was received at 02:08 upon arrival house was engulfed in flames and was a total loss, There were 17 firemen on the scene along with members of the Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Department. - Donald Hare
