Jaycees Radio Auction bids total $9,626.00 The money is used in many ways from helping families with food and toys at Christmas to helping families that suffer the devastating loss of a home fire and other needs during the year. By Jennifer Carter The Adair County Jaycees would like to thank all of the business' and individuals that donated items and everyone that purchased items at our annual Radio Auction which was held December 4 & 5, 2013. The Radio Auction bids totaled $9636.00. We would also like to thank 93.5 WAIN and 92.7 FM The WAVE for the air time, Flowers N' Things for receiving the payments and distributing items, abd ColumbiaMagazine.com - CM - for posting and updating our list as new items were received, Greg Thomas for hosting this year's event and all of the Jaycees for their hard work and dedication to help make this year's auction a success. This is a big event for the Jaycees each year and the money is used in many ways from helping families with food and toys at Christmas to helping families that suffer the devastating loss of a home fire and other needs during the year. The Jaycees are a volunteer group of individuals who "believe service to humanity is the best work of life." This quote is part of the Jaycee Creed and is one of many reasons we join and commit our self to our community through service. If anyone feels the need to serve their community and would like to join the Jaycees we meet the First and Third Tuesday of each month. ADAIR COUNTY JAYCEES Regularly meet at 7:00pmCTeach 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, at the Jaycees Pavillon, 415 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY -GREG THOMAS This story was posted on 2013-12-06 15:26:31
