Columbia, KY resident faces rape charge in Campbellsville, KY

Other charges alleged are resisting arrest, burglary 2nd, and assault 4th (domestic). Suspect lodged in Taylor County Detention Center, Campbellsville, KY

On Thursday, December 05, 2013 at approximately 5:30amCT, the Campbellsville Police Department received a complaint of a disturbance at 103 Vintage Lane. Once officers arrived on the scene, it was determined that 28 year old Joel C. Yarberry of Columbia, KY, had broken into the residence and was attempting to rape the resident.

Joel C. Yarberry, age 28, was arrested by Campbellsville Police and charged with: Burglary 2nd, Assault 4th (Domestci), Rape 1st (Attempted), and Resisting Arrest. Yarberry was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center. Officer Daniel Forbis is the investigating officer. - Anne Sanders, Campbellsville 911
