Sheila C. Rigney, age 77, of Louisville, KY passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2013.

Visitation will be held 5pmCT/6pmET, Thursday December 5, 2013 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, and after 9amCT/10amET, Friday December 6, 2013 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Friday December 6, 2013 at Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Rev Donovan Smith and Rev. Brent Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.

She was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on April 26, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Elvin E. and Emma Cochran Lynn. She died in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

She was a housewife and a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Russell D. Rigney Sr., and the following:
  • Three sons: Russell D. Rigney Jr. of Huntington, WV; Larry Rigney of Shepherdsville, KY; and Ronnie Rigney of Louisville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • and one brother: Ernie Lynn of Liberty, KY
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Poplar Grove Baptist Church Building fund or the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
