Greensburg, KY, resident arrested on trafficking charge

A traffic stop on Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY resulted in multiple charges Monday evening, December 2, 2013.

Adair County Deputy Aaron Rainwater performed the traffic stop on Burkesville Street in front of Save-a-Lot for expired tags.



After making the stop Deputy Rainwater spoke with the occupants and search of the vehicle yielded over 2 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia under a passenger seat of the vehicle and a large sum of cash on the passengers person.

James Brandon Carrey, 25 of Greensburg, KY, was charged with trafficking marijuana under 8 oz. and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

The driver of the vehicle, a blue 2001 Chevy, Danielle Symmes 20, of Columbia was cited for expired registration and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, also misdemeanors.
