Mr. Walter Merl Guess, Taylor Co., KY (d. Dec. 1, 2013) He was the son of the late Charles and Hattie Guess and was born in in Union Furnace, Ohio. Mr. Guess served his country honorably as an electrician on the temporary landing fields in the Army Air Force during World War II. After the war, he returned stateside and began a career as a typesetter and printer at McCall's Printing in Dayton, OH Mr. Walter Merl Guess, age 97, of Campbellsville, passed away on December 1, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services were private, with interment in the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine, OH. He was the son of the late Charles and Hattie Guess and was born in in Union Furnace, Ohio. Mr. Guess served his country honorably as an electrician on the temporary landing fields in the Army Air Force during World War II. After the war, he returned stateside and began a career as a typesetter and printer at McCall's Printing in Dayton, OH. Mr. Walter Merl Guess helped raise, and is survived by, a special nephew and caretaker - Roger Emerick and wife Kay, of Campbellsville, KY. He is further survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wesley and Hattie Florence (Sanner) Guess; his wife, Mary Martha (Schafer) Guess, one daughter, Cecelia Sue Guess; five brothers and sisters, Mae Guess Emerick, Della Rhore, John Guess, Hubert Guess, and Oscar Sanner Arrangements by L.R.
