Letter: Closed meetings Joyce Coomer . . . AMENDMENT IThis does not say that anyone has the right to stick their nose in anywhere they please, at any time they please. Nor does it say that the news media has the right to be privy to anyone's business, regardless of whether or not it is taxpayer funded. Nor does it say that the news media should print any and everything that is made known to the news media. The first amendment simply means that the news media is not to be censored by the government for reporting factual news that the government would rather not have reported, nor is the government supposed to censor the news media or any citizen for publishing their opinion, whether or not that opinion is favorable to the government. -Joyce M. Coomer This story was posted on 2013-11-26 08:40:48
