Bloomington Chapel Youth Toy Drive is well on way to goal TOY DRIVE PROGRESS REPORT: Details below; the Big Picture is that 592 total items already received. Goal is 1,000. Ways to help below The youth Bloomington Chapel Church, 55 Bloomington Church Road, Columbia KY 42728 youth are conducting a toy drive to help give toys and other items to the less fortunate during the Christmas season and already they have received a total of 592 toys. "We are well on our way to reaching our goal of 1000 toys/items to help those in need this holiday season," Tony Streeval writes. "As of today we have received 167 toys, 100 pair of socks, 150 winter hats/caps, 75 scarves, 100 pair of adult/children gloves," he said, adding, "We also have sponsored 25 kids for The Salvation Army Project Angel Tree (we wanted more but that was all they had left), and we sent 50 boxes to Operation Christmas Child and dropped those at the Nazarene Church." All monetary donations given to the project will be used to help buy toys and supplies for the needy. Those wanting to help can drop off new toys, gloves, sleeping bags or winter clothes at Bloomington Chapel Church; and at Hot Prints, 1655 Highway 55 S Road, Columbia, KY. Toys and supplies will go to help the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project, Adair County Food Pantry, The Bridge Ministry in Tennessee and other charities around the community and state.
