The Blue Raiders (4-3, 0-2) led by as many 11 points, going up 24-13 early, but Rio Grande would fight back to within four to trail 30-26 with 4:32 left in the first half. Tyrie Orosco made three free-throws and Daronte' Clark drained a shot from beyond the arc with two seconds on the clock to give Lindsey a 38-30 lead at the break. Chase Cox led Lindsey Wilson with 13 points, shooting 3-for-4 from the three-point line and making all four free-throw attempts. D'on Hall scored 11 points, while Daronte' Clark and Ja'Ln Williams added 10 points each. Hall, Orosco and Tony Horne each had six rebounds. Rio Grande (4-2, 1-1) opened the second half with a 9-1 run to tie the game at 39-39. Lindsey Wilson would regain control of the game for most of the half, but the RedStorm would take a 70-68 lead with 3:23 remaining and hold on for the win. Jermaine Warmack came off the bench to pace Rio Grande with 22 points, scoring 18 in the second half and 16 of the RedStorm's final 19 points. It was Lindsey Wilson's first loss in 13 meetings with Rio Grande. The Blue Raiders out-rebounded the RedStorm 38-31 and shot 23-of-28 from the charity stripe.
