LWC/Swim Men Earn 14 national cut times at Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, GA - Lindsey Wilson men's swim team earned 14 national cut times during the Brenau University Invitational including 10 during todays two sessions at Frances Meadows Aquatic Center, as the Blue Raiders now have most national cut times in program history,

The Blue Raiders as a team finished in fourth place with 374 points as Limestone (SC) College finished in first place with a score of 827. Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) placed second with 751 points while Darton (GA) College took third with a score of 442 points.

Corey Hall earned three national cut times including a "B" cut in the 100 yard butterfly with a fourth place time of 53.33 during the morning session. Hall placed first and earned a national "A" cut in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.08.

Ryan Leamy earned a "B" cut in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.64, good for eighth place in the race. Leamy secured three national cut times on the weekend including an "A" cut in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:04.62.

Iker Larzabal placed sixth in the 200 yard freestyle with a national "A" cut time of 1:47.65, one of four events that Larzabal earned a trip to nationals during the invitational. Larzabal also earned a national "A" cut in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:04.72.

Jonathan Hindman placed seventh in the 200 yard freestyle with a national "A" cut time of 1:48.41. Hindman also earned an "A" cut in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.74. Throughout the weekend, Hindman secured four national "A" cut times including a national "A" cut in the 200 yard breaststroke finishing with a time of 2:09.48.

Luke Royal secured a national "B" cut time in the 50 yard freestyle (22.75) on Friday.

In the 400 yard freestyle relay team A - Larzabal, Leamy, Royal and Hindman - finished fourth with a time of 3:17.50. The 400 freestyle relay team B - Tate, Coe, Durocher and Hall - finished 13th with a team of 3:24.80. Larzabal earned a national "B" cut in the 100 yard freestyle during his leg of the relay with at time of 48.98.
