LWC Women host Georgetown, MSC soccer semi-finals at Reuling

COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 2 seed Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team faces the No. 6 seed Georgetown (KY) College in the Mid-South Conference semifinals Thursday at 2:30pmCT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Hollingway Drive, Columbia, KY

No. 1 seed Cumberland (Lebanon, TN) University vs. the No. 4 seed St. Catharine (St. Catharine) College is at 12noonCT.



Lindsey Wilson (16-3-0, 8-1-0 MSC) advanced to the semifinals after defeating the No. 7 seed Shawnee State (Ohio) University 6-0 in the quarterfinals on November 9.

Ayaki Shinada led the Blue Raiders scoring twice and adding an assist in the game. Alice Coyne, Natasha Gensetter, Cecilia Ekstrand and Sabrina Tom also netted goals of their own in the win.

Georgetown (9-6-1, 4-5-0 MSC) advanced to the semifinals after upsetting the No. 3 seed Campbellsville (Ky.) University 2-1 in the quarterfinals.

Georgetown trailed 1-0 after a Campbellsville goal in the 21st minute, but Georgetown's Sam Amend found the equalizer less than three minutes later, and scored the game-winner on a corner kick in the 88th minute.
