The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program needs help in order to provide Christmas gifts to Adair County children.

The Adair County Service Unit of The Salvation Army is again sponsoring the Angel Tree program for local children. This program provides Christmas gifts to qualifying Adair County children ages birth to sixteen and is coordinated through the Adair County Schools Family Resource Youth Services Centers.

Many churches, organizations and community members have graciously helped with this program in the past and we want to offer you the opportunity to assist this year. The program works like this; at your request, paper angels bearing information about local children will be delivered to you.

You are asked to take an angel and purchase gifts for the child.

The un-wrapped gifts will be delivered to Angel Tree staff by December 12 and we will ensure that the children receive the gifts before Christmas.

We would also gladly accept cash donations for the program and they can be mailed to The Salvation Army , PO Box 1085 Columbia, KY 42728.

If you would be willing to participate in this worthy project, please contact the Family Resource Youth Services Centers at 270-384-9752, 270-384-9112 or 270-384-6050 as soon as possible. --Debbie Cowan
