Minor injuries, moderate fire damage, from explosion

Explosion appears to have been from a gas leak

The Taylor County Fire Department was dispatched to house fire at 150 Long Acre Drive to property owned by Vivian Robinson, at 1:25ET on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, to find a fire in the laundry room which was quickly extinguished.



Firefighters also found that the house had suffered moderate structural damage oon one end of the house from what appeared to be a gas leak and explosion.

Two people were in the house at the time of the explosion. One, the owner, Vivian Robinson, suffered minor burns and the other person was not injured. The injured occupant was checked by EMS and refused treatment or transport.

Firefighters were on th scene for just over two hours, with 3 units of apparatus and 18 personnel. Assisting agencies were CTCEMS (Campbellsville Taylor County EMS) and the Taylor County Sheriff's Office.
