Douglas Dix, 60, Melson Ridge Road, Jamestown, KY, died at 5:15amCT, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his home.

Care and cremation was chosen by the family and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.



Douglas Dix, 60, Russell County, KY (1953-2013)


He was born June 13, 1953, in Detroit, Wayne County, MI on June 13, 1953. He was the son of the late John Dix and the late Stella Wilson Dix. He died Saturday, November 2, 2013, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 60 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

He was a laborer.

He is survived by the following:
  • A son: Todd Dix, Glasgow, KY

  • Two daughters: Renee Dix, Jamestown, KY; and Alena Denson, Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Brenda Mondie, Liberty, KY; and Joan Hanson-Dix, San Bernardino, CA

  • Seven grandchildren

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
He was preced in death by two brothers, Richard and Robert Dix; and two sisters, Patricia Hill and Judy Atkins.

The H.E. Pruitt Funeral Home, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
