Estimated 800 people attend 2nd Annual Prim Fair Even the weather cooperated with Marsha Reddick coordinated event. Adair Heritage Association now planning for Christmas in Columbia, December 7, 2013 By Ellen Zornes, President, Adair Heritage Association On behalf of the Adair Heritage Association, I would like to thank everyone involved with our second annual Primitive (Prim) Fair, especially Marsha Reddick who coordinated the event. It was a great day with even the weather cooperating. We had an estimated 800 people to attend and gave us the chance to once again showcase our magnificent historic Adair County Courthouse. We greatly appreciated all the words of encouragement from so many in our ongoing preservation efforts. And, the historic courthouse will be ready to go for Christmas in Columbia, December 7, where it will be decked out with decorations and both floors full of vendors with lots of wonderful handmade Christmas items, baked goods, antiques and everything in between. We will also have the annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas ornaments this year featuring Col. Wm. Casey and John Adair Schools as both of these closed this year. We will also be serving (for donations) our Courthouse Chili (and soup) between the community Christmas Carols and the parade. Stop by and have a bowl, or two, and warm up before watching the parade. - Ellen Zornes This story was posted on 2013-11-03 17:09:41
