Lola Hatfield, Casey County, KY (1918-2013)

She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of Liberty, Casey County, KY at the time of her death. She was the matriarch of a large, respected Casey County family and the widow of Roy Hatfield. Mrs. Hatfield was a homemaker and a member of the Hilltop Church of Christ.

Lola Hatfield, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY. She was 95.

Funeral services will be at 12noonCT/1pmET, Monday, November 4, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at the funeral home.

She was born Saturdaym, March 23, 1918, in Casey County, KY; she was a daughter of the late Cyrenus and Arizona Foley Tarter. She died Friday, November 1, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 95 years, 7 months, and 9 days.

Mrs. Hatfield was a homemaker and a member of the Hilltop Church of Christ.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her daughters: Georgianna Murphy and Dorothy Kinne, both of Liberty, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren

  • And several great-great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hatfield; son, Mike Hatfield; brothers, Homer and Elbie Tarter; and sisters, Velma Thompson, Mary Huff, and Orpha Pierce.

    McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
