DUI Arrest made following collision near Roadside Park

Latonia, KY, man charged with DUI after sideswiping vehicle driven by Columbian. Collision temporarily closes KY 55 while roadway was cleared

The Adair County Sheriff's Office made a DUI arrest Thursday evening October 31, 2013, in connection with a two vehicle accident on HWY South 55. Jason Whittle, of Latonia KY, was operating a silver 2001 Pontiac north bound when he crossed the center line, sideswiping a 2006 green Silverado operated by John Harris who was in the opposing lane.Whittle then left the road running through a fence across from The Road Side Park. Whittle was charged with DUI and lodged in the Adair County Jail. The Columbia Police Department also responded to the scene, traffic was stopped briefly until the roadway was clear. - ACSO Deputy Adam Cravens
