LWC Basketball/Men, 68; Ohio State/Mansfield, 95 Blue Raider Tony Horne score's career hig 24 points; Blue Raiders shoot 48% from field, but that's still not enough NEXT - Lindsey Wilson College Men's Basketball hosts Ohio State University-Mansfield (Mansfield, OH) 7pmCT/8pmET, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY By Jay Nicol COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson men's basketball dropped its season opener 95-68 to NCAA Division II Salem International (WV) University at Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders (0-1, 0-0 MSC) were led by Tony Horne who had a career-high 24 points and added six rebounds in the season opener for Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders were down early as they fell behind 24-9 but were able to fight back to within 10 after a 12-5 run and ended the half with a 10-2 run to cut the lead to seven. Lindsey Wilson shot 48 percent from the field, but the Fighting Tigers were able to take advantage from behind the arc, shooting 5-for-11 while the Blue Raiders went 1-for-7 from three-point range in the first half. In the second half, the Fighting Tigers were able to stretch the lead to 18 after opening the half with a 11-1 run. The Blue Raiders cut it to 11 (58-47) with 13:50 left on the clock. Salem International continued to make shots as they went 23-for-34 for 68 percent from the field in the second-half. Lindsey Wilson shot 36 percent from the field while continuing to struggle from behind the arc. The Blue Raiders Anthony Crenshaw finished the game with 10 points and three rebounds.Daronte' Clark and Tony Menton added nine points apiece. Dusan Pantovic led the team with five defensive rebounds.
