Warren O'Neal Hayes, West, KY, (1941-2013)

He was a sawmill owner/operator and a member of Creston Baptist Church. He was the son of hte late Lonnie & Biner Sapp Hayes. His wife, Cora Ellen Scott Hayes, survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Warren O'Neal Hayes, 72, of West, KY 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 12noonCT/1pmET, Friday, November 1, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY with Bros. Dwight Coffman and Jeric DeVore officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers will be Brian, Kevin, and Thurman Bagby and Brandon, Jordan, and CD Hale.

He was born Wednesday, March 12, 1941, in Casey County, KY. He was a son of the late Lonnie and Biner Sapp Hayes. He died Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in West, KY, at the age of 72 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

He was a sawmill owner/operator and a member of Creston Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following:
  • His wife: Cora Ellen Scott Hayes

  • Daughter: Donna (Thurman) Bagby of Liberty, KY

  • Sister, Lillian Lawhorn Smith of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Brian and Kevin Bagby
He was preceded in death by his brother, Buford Hayes and a grandson, Thurman O'Neal Bagby.
