3rd Annual Sparky's Crusade Concert is Oct. 19, 2013

The 3rd Annual Sparky's Crusade Concert will be 1pm-7pmCT, Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Adair County Fairgrounds, 413 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY.

The concert is held each year in Memory of Charles "Sparky" Sparks (1961-2011), and proceeds got to the WHAS Crusade for Children.



This year's concert will feature John Capps, Brent and Brandy Thompson, and more local talent. Concessions will be provided Stacey Hatcher.

There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and inflatables for the kids.

A corn toss tournament will be held at 1pmCT. Information courtesy Columbia Fire Department Chief Mike Glasgow

State Fire Marshal Charles Sparks, is shown above in a training exercise at the Maupin Apartments in March of 2009, just before the building was razed to make way for the LWC Plant Operations Building. Sparks died in 2011. The 3rd Annual Sparky's Concert will be held in his memory, 1pm-7pmCT, Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Adair County Fairgrounds, 413 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. Proceeds from the concert go to one of his favorite causes, the WHAS Crusade for Children.
