October 20-26 is Kentucky Safe Schools week! The public is invited to attend half-hour programs each day 12:45-1:15pmCT, with different speaker each day at Adair County Middle School, 322 Gen. John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY. Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Lauren McQuaide News from Adair County Middle School This week is all about bullying prevention in our schools and community. As you probably know, bullying can come in many forms. According to "Stop Bullying Now 2013" it is estimated that 160,000 children miss school daily due to fear or intimidation by their peers. Statistics also show that 56% of all students in the U.S. have personally witnessed some form of bullying. With this, we need to do our best to make Adair County Middle School bully free. To accomplish this goal, starting October 21, the Adair county schools have come together with the entire community to pledge to work for a safe, nurturing school environment. Join us at Adair County Middle school to S.T.O.P. (safety, teamwork, opportunities, and power) bullying, violence, and risky behavior in our school system! Monday through Thursday's events will start at 12:45pm and run until 1:15pmCT. Events and topics are as followed;
