LWC Football Slips to No. 21 in Latest NAIA Top-25 Poll Blue Raiders suffered second loss of the season Saturday By Chris Wells, Sports Information Director News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson football team fell four spots in this week's NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, officials announced Monday. The move from No. 17 to No. 21 comes after the Blue Raiders lost to Kentucky Christian University 22-14 on Saturday, October 12, 2013. The Blue Raiders fall to 5-2 on the season and 1-2 in the Mid-South Conference East Division. Lindsey Wilson received 61 voting points from the panel of head coaches that makes up the national raters. The Mid-South Conference has five teams ranked this week. The University of the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY), Georgetown (Georgetown, KY) College, Faulkner (Montgomery, AL) University and Cumberland (Lebanon, TN.) University also reside in the poll. Cumberlands remains at No. 2 while Georgetown moves up one spot to No. 11. Faulkner moves up four spots from No. 23 to No. 19 while Cumberland rounds out the poll at No. 25. Morningside (Iowa) remains atop the national poll with 314 voting points, including all 14 first-place votes. Cumberlands is No. 2 with 300 voting points followed by Grand View (Iowa) with 291 voting points.
